What I Found
Runway Gen-4 is the most production-ready. Motion brush (paint where things should move) and their image-to-video model give me the most control — I can take a Midjourney still and get a believable 8-second pan with wind in the right direction. Their full suite (lip-sync, inpainting, 3D) makes it the workflow tool of choice for actual video makers. Pricing is reasonable and the free tier lets you evaluate.
